Dave Strunk was involved with guitar repair for over 20 years while working at the Martin Guitar factory in Nazareth, Pa. Rich Eckhart started working at Martin Guitar, and with Rich working in the Sawmill and Dave working in the Repair Department, Rich and Dave met and quickly became great friends because of sharing their Christian experience. In 2005, Dave and Rich set up a booth at the Wind Gap Bluegrass Festival. The booth at the festival provided an opportunity for guitar owners at the festival to get restrings, setups, and minor guitar repair issues fixed. It also provided customers with general consultation services on their guitars for any questions that they might have about their guitars. It was apparent at the festival that Dave and Rich had the ingredients for a fun, creative, and successful guitar repair business. Brothers Music Shop was started in 2011. If there's one thing that Dave and Rich know for sure, it's that you have a love affair with your guitars! That same passion that makes you fall in love with your favorite instrument is the same passion that Dave and Rich have for customers, music, tonewoods, finishing, sound, playability, and all the subtle nuances involved with guitars and transference of energy on guitars! And, most importantly, Dave and Rich have a passion and desire to see you, the owner of a favorite guitar, continue to have the love affair with your guitar for many years to come! Being involved with and servicing others who love music and who love their instruments is much more than operating a business! It's an opportunity to create life-long friendships with those who share and appreciate a love for music and guitars! We look forward to the friendships and getting to know you and your favorite instruments!
